Making The Leap
Making The Leap is a weekly podcast hosted by Christine and Chris Stigall. The Stigalls recently made the leap to Christian education, pulling their daughter out of a public school and sending her to a private Christian school. The Stigalls want to empower other families to choose the school that’s best for them and break free from the status quo. They speak with society experts, educators, legislators, psychologists, and other parents to uncover the hidden truths in education and lay the groundwork for change.

Power to the Parents: How to Regain Parental Control & Reject the One-Size-Fits-All Approach to Education
On this week’s episode of Making The Leap, Chris and Christine discuss the culture of parent empowerment they’ve found in a Christian school setting and contrast that culture to the veil of secrecy in public schools. Public schools are hiding information from parents and taking away their power.
Elana Fishbein from No Left Turn in Education joins the episode to discuss the alarming curriculum shift she witnessed in her children’s public school system. Like Chris and Christine, Elana decided to pull her children out of public school and send them to a private school. As more and more parents reject the one-size-fits-all approach to education in the public school system, alternative education settings like Christian schools and home schools continue to grow. It’s up to parents to decide which alternative is the best fit for them and their children.
